The Top Five Jamaican Bloggers You Should be Following in 2021

In addition to its beautiful landscape, Jamaica is gifted with talented people, from the famed late Reggae Legend Robert 'Bob' Marley to modern day living legend Usain St. Leo Bolt. While we honour these popular personalities that have placed Jamaica on the global map, there are everyday, ordinary people who have been using social media channels such as YouTube, Instagram, among others to highlight the uniqueness and beauty of Jamaica. In this article, I will be highlighting six Jamaican YouTubers who I have come across who have been doing amazing work by positively focusing on what is right with Jamaica and showcasing this to the rest of the world. These are in no particular order.

The YouTube Channel Naturally on a Budget has me on a high for this simple reason, the YouTuber Hephzibah seeks to highlight versatile ways of using indigenous Jamaican plants such as the ackee to do amazing things. One of her videos that caught my attention was the use of Ackee to make oil for the skin. For me, that was unheard of. If you would really like to 'tun yuh han mek fashan' Naturally on a Budget is definitely the Channel you want to visit.

Jamaican YouTuber Rochielin cannot go unnoticed. She travels to some of the most remote locations to highlight Jamaicans who are using Jamaican Herbs and plants for healing. Her personal style of presentation piques the viewers interest and leaves you wanting more.

Like the name suggests, the YouTuber Shan exudes quite a warm vibes that pulls you to her channel. Her Channel focuses heavily on farming as she highlights the work of farmers in rural Jamaica. Her Channel is worth the visit.

At first, I thought I was in for a patois treat just by seeing the name Chat Jamaican; however, Tania brings us more than just Patois. She focuses on life in Jamaica. I came to realise though, that it seems as if her Channel was initially to offer the Jamaican Patois experience. Tania's Channel is definitely one to watch.

It is no surprise why the YouTube Channel Jamaican Things caught my attention. The Vlogger has posted several Bush Tea Series. Again, highlighting the vast majority of medicinal herbs and plants that have been used for centuries in Jamaican Folklore. Although, the channel features other themes. It is definitely worth the visit if you are seeking to experience the Jamaican Vibes.

Please show these amazing, hardworking YouTubers your love and support!
