Neem - Preventing Dengue

The Neem plant is a useful and naturally occurring insecticide. The plant which grows into a very huge tree, if not trained, is thought to keep a way white flies, parasitic insects that usually feeds on plants (roots, stems and leaves) until they eventually die. Some persons boil the leaves and stem of the plant into a solution and use this as a spray for insects such as worms, bugs and flies.

In the case of mosquito breeding and infestation, The plant is burnt to keep a way or to kill adult mosquitoes while the solution can be poured into mosquito breeding sites.

The Neem Plant also boast other uses; it is used for arthritis, diabetes and hypertension. Because the tea is very bitter, it is recommended that only one - three leaves be drawn for this purpose.

Remember, however, that before using this home remedy, one must first consult a physician. It is not intended to replace prescribed medication.
