F-i-n-a-l-l-y!
I finally experimented with Pumpkin Porridge. I have always thought that pumpkin would make an excellent porridge but was always reserved in trying, not because I was counting the economical cost if it failed, but because it is usually hard to try new things.
Well, On that blessed morning of February 20, I tried it and it was a success. Not to mention the added plus, Pumpkin Porridge really tastes good. I will share the ingredients to my experiment with 'Web-Land'
Ingredients
1 lb Pumpkin (chopped and uncooked)
4 cups of water
2 Cinnamon Leaves
1/2 cup Flour
Sugar
Condensed Milk
Salt
Nutmeg
1 tbsp Vanilla
A drop of Almond Flavouring
Method
Bring two cups of water to a boil and add salt and cinnamon leaves. Using a cup of water, blend pumpkin cubes in a blender or using a hand mixer until smooth in texture. Add pureed pumpkin to boiling water and stir.
Mix flour in the remaining one cup of water until smooth (without lump), add to pot and stir briskly until flour is incorporated properly into the mixture. Allow to cook for approximately 35 minutes.
Add sugar and milk to taste. Spice porridge with Vanilla, Almond Flavouring and Nutmeg. Remove pot from flame.
Serve in a bowl as desired.
Never had pumpkin porridge before this is something new to try
