Controlling Diabetes

The body's main source of energy is called glucose. Insulin, a hormone produced in the pancreas, assists with the absorption of this important fuel which is vital for the provision of energy needed for growth and other bodily functions. When the pancreas becomes unable to efficiently produce insulin, this affects the body's metabolism which is essential for the way in which the body breaks down food into energy. This causes an increase of glucose in the blood stream, which is eventually excreted by the urine. This also explains why sugar levels can easily be detected with urine tests. Therefore, the body's inability to produce insulin in the correct amounts is a condition known as Diabetes. Some of the common symptoms are: * Blurred Vision * Frequent Urination * Increase in perspiration * Excessive loss of weight * Wounds heal slowly * Excessive Thirst * Excessive Eating There are different types of diabetes. It is said that this disorder cannot be cured, however, it is believed that it can be controlled. One such naturally occurring substance that can be used to control this disease is the Oregano plant which is also known as French Thyme or Beef Mint. Method: Pick a leave of the plant. Bring 11/2 cups of water to a boil. After the water has come to a rapid boil, remove from flame and add only one leaf of the Oregano or Beef Mint plant. Cover and allow this to steam until the colour of the water has changed (draw). Add sugar or honey (optional). Consume warm. This can be had once per week. http://alternativemedicinebushdoctor.blogspot.com/
