Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition that is characterized by an increase in the level of blood pressure. It is believed that an excessive amount of salt in the body may be one of the main causes of this disease.Common syptoms include headaches, dizziness, irregular heart beat, vision changes, tiredness, confusion and chest pains. If left untreated or uncontrolled, this condition may lead to stroke, Kidney damage, enlarged heart or heart attack all of which may eventually lead to death.
Treatment
It is recommended that a peg of garlic be diced in small squares. Take one of these small squares with a glass of water once or twice per week and this should control and maintain a healthy blood pressure. Remember to have your blood pressure (bp) checked regularly, as this can also lead to another condition called hypotension.
People with hypertension should eat more fruit and vegetables and avoid processed foods. Potassium supplements also help.
